Are you a dad, grandfather or uncle that has a child in the Academy?  Then the Worship team of  BSLC would like to invite you to be a part of our Living Last Supper in the role of a disciple, which will be performed on Maundy Thursday, April 17th. There is a short monologue for each disciple, which do not have to be memorized. We will supply the costumes for this drama/cantata. The Chancel Choir, under the direction of Dr. James Higgs, willl be the major component of this production, so you will not be asked to sing anything.

There are no children's roles in this drama, though Pastor Tony will give a short children's message at the beginning of the service to explain what is going to happen. The drama will last less than an hour, and communion will be included.

What Is Required?

There will be a dress rehearsal on April 10th at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary and one session with a drama coach who will help you with expressive reading. Date and time for that is flexible. No acting experience is rerquired.

Short Overview of the LIVING LAST SUPPER

The music passionately captures the event while one by one, the disciples speak, expressing their innermost thoughts with brief but poignant monologues that portray their astonishment at Jesus' assertion that one of them will betray him.

We hope that you will consider this opportunity to join us as we prepare people's hearts for what is to come, the death and resurrection of Jesus. Please contact Becca at the academy (520-579-1453) or Mary Speidel (Mspeidel151@gmail.com) if you are interested.

In Christ's service,
